Most people think you need to be young or fearless to learn to skate. You don't. You just need someone to show you the easy way.
The reason most beginners struggle (or get hurt) is they skip the fundamentals and go straight for tricks. Standing on the board, shifting your weight, pushing, stopping, falling safely — nobody teaches this stuff, so people try to figure it out alone, slam once, and put the board in the garage forever.
That's the gap I fill. I teach it properly, step by step, 1:1, at your pace. No pressure, no crowd of teenagers watching, no being thrown in the deep end.
Who the lessons are for
Adults starting (or restarting). You've been putting it off for years. You won't be the awkward old one at the park — this is literally what I do.
Kids getting their first board. A coach gets them past the wobbly stage faster and safer than trial and error. Ages 8 and up.
Parents who want to learn. Stop watching from the sidelines. If your kid has started skating and you want to skate with them.

2. We meet at a Gold Coast park that suits you. Quiet spots, smooth ground, no crowds. If you don't have a board yet, tell me in the form — I'll sort you out for the first session.
3. Your first lesson covers the real fundamentals. Standing, balancing, pushing, turning and stopping — plus how to fall without getting hurt. Most people are rolling on their own by the end of session one.

I'm Theo. I've been skating for 26 years and I've taught 100+ private lessons on the Gold Coast.
I run The Online Skatepark, a community for adult beginners learning to skate all over the world. Teaching complete beginners isn't a side thing for me — it's the whole thing. My job is to make the intimidating part disappear so you can actually enjoy learning.

Am I too old for this? No. My oldest students are in their 60s. If you can walk, I can teach you to skate.
Do I need my own board and gear? No — tell me in the form and I'll bring a setup for your first lesson. If you want to buy your own after, I'll tell you exactly what to get so you don't waste money.

What if I'm hopeless? You won't be. Everyone feels ridiculous for the first 20 minutes. That's the part I'm there for.
