You're Not Too Old To Learn To Skate
Adult beginner lessons on the Gold Coast. No experience needed. All gear provided.
Learning to skate as an adult is one of the best things you'll ever do.
There's nothing quite like that first time you roll along properly — balanced, in control, actually doing it. It makes you feel alive, a bit braver, and genuinely proud of yourself. And you're never too old for it. My students are anywhere from 25 to 65, and most are starting almost from scratch.
The secret is starting the right way. You learn to skate before you ever touch a trick — proper balance, proper control, the foundations that make everything click. It's the part most coaching skips, and it's exactly what makes you feel steady and confident from the very first session.
Small, achievable steps, at your pace, with someone who knows how to teach adults. No throwing you in the deep end. No expecting you to be fearless. Just you getting better one step at a time — and surprising yourself with how quickly it comes.
You don't need to be fit. You don't need any gear. You just need to turn up and give it a go.
Start with the 3-Session Starter Pack
One session isn't enough to get it to stick — three is where it actually clicks. That's why this is how I get every adult beginner started. By the end of three sessions you'll be moving on the board properly, with the foundations to keep going on your own.

One hour, same one-on-one coaching. A great way to try — though most want the full three once they've had a taste.
Your coach
I've been skateboarding for 26 years, and for the last few I've been coaching adults here on the Gold Coast. I'm known for breaking every skill down into simple, achievable steps — so even complete beginners feel confident from the very first session.
My students range from 25 to 65. Most have never properly skated before. All of them leave with a smile.
Being a great skater and being a great teacher are two completely different things. I've spent years learning how to actually teach this — to adults, at their pace, the right way. That's the difference.
