The boring bit… Waiver & Terms
Before skating with us, please read the waiver below.
It explains the terms of participation and the inherent risks involved in skateboarding. This is a standard requirement for all participants.
You’ll be asked to agree to these terms when booking a session.
Waiver, Release & Terms of Participation
By booking or attending any skate session, private lesson, or event with The Online Skatepark, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
Please read this carefully before participating.
1. Assumption of Risk
Skateboarding is a physically demanding activity that involves inherent risks, including but not limited to falls, collisions, equipment failure, weather conditions, and serious injury.
By participating in any session, you acknowledge that:
Skateboarding carries a risk of injury or death
You voluntarily choose to participate at your own risk
You are responsible for assessing your own ability and limits
2. Release of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to release, waive, and discharge The Online Skatepark, its coaches, contractors, and representatives from any liability for injury, loss, damage, or expense arising from participation in sessions, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.
This includes, but is not limited to:
Personal injury
Property damage
Accidents occurring before, during, or after sessions
3. Fitness to Participate
You confirm that:
You are physically and medically fit to participate
You have no condition that would prevent safe participation
You will stop skating if you feel unwell, injured, or unsafe
If you are unsure, you should seek medical advice before attending.
4. Safety & Equipment
Helmets and wrist, elbow and knee pads are strongly recommended at all times.
Protective gear (pads, helmet) may be provided where available, but use is at your own risk
You are responsible for ensuring your own equipment is safe and suitable
Failure to follow basic safety instructions may result in removal from a session without refund.
5. Coaching & Session Format
Sessions are open, drop-in style and not structured classes
Coaching support is available throughout, but not guaranteed one-on-one at all times
You are responsible for managing your time, breaks, and intensity during sessions
6. Weather, Cancellations & Changes
Skate sessions are weather dependent.
If weather conditions are unsafe, sessions may be cancelled, rescheduled, or relocated
Where possible, you will be offered a reschedule or credit
Refunds are not guaranteed for weather-related disruptions
7. Memberships & Bookings
Memberships are recurring and billed weekly or monthly, depending on your plan. It is your responsibility to manage bookings and cancellations.
8. Behaviour & Conduct
You agree to:
Act respectfully toward others
Follow reasonable instructions from the coach
Avoid dangerous or reckless behaviour
Disruptive or unsafe behaviour may result in immediate removal from sessions without refund and/or cancellation of membership.
9. Photography & Media
You consent to the use of photos or videos taken during sessions for promotional purposes, unless you notify us in writing before attending. This may include use on our website, social media, or promotional materials.
10. Acceptance of Terms
By booking or attending a session, you confirm that:
You are 18 years or older
You have read and understood this waiver
You agree to these terms voluntarily
